So I love that people are looking at my blog, but they’re all looking at god damn posts about Superman and Smallville. Now I know that I’m a total nerd and I know that pop culture ranks higher than my pseudo-erudition. But what the hell? Hundreds of hits on my review of Superman Returns? Hundreds of hits on my discussion of slash in Smallville? Color me baffled.

I’ve mostly everything you’ve had to say interesting, but let’s face it the web-crawlers are like zombies addicted to feeding on pop culture…

Sorry, insert “found” after “mostly”!

See my blog for rules. Sorry I had to tag 7 and I don’t have many friends so as one of such an elite group, you were nominated.
Pop culture… I wanna play. Honestly, I think there is a time warp elementary school teachers were sucked into during the 80s and 90s. They are devoid of all pop culture. My witty jokes at lunch each day go unappreciated by the culturally ignorant folk I work with.

You have to link to your blog so I can see it, silly. Your co-workers sound like my students. They are amazingly culturally illiterate—I would expect them not to know lots of historical and “high brow” stuff, but how could they not know the pop culture of the present? Odd indeed.

Check out the Aquaman guy from Smallville.

Haha, I try to write about serious topics as well, yet my all-time most popular post is still my topless beach stories. I considered it a step up when recently one of my pop-culture posts (on Pullman and atheism) passed that one in terms of new incoming search-query hits. And even then, about a quarter of the hits are for things like “Do Will and Lyra have sex?” lol

irritatingly, my post about dentists (I have had major nightmare dental experiences since I moved to SF) is also high up there. And a post with a sign of Gandalf that I got from Belaja on it. Hrmph.
